Wang Yichang, a retired cadre in Hefei prison, is 93 years old this year. He used to be a soldier of the 115th Division of the Eighth Route Army. Recalling that he had just entered the army at the time, the old man said: "At that time, the weapons and equipment of the troops could not be used. Not all guns can be used normally, and they will be misfiring. A better gun should be given to the gunmen who are the guns, so that they can kill the devils." In May 1939, the 115th Division of Wang Yichang’s old man was besieged in Shandong Lufang. The division decided to retreat. According to the order, Wang Yichang and others were responsible for the cover work. After the safe transfer of the division, Wang Yichang passed through a high-pitched land during the retreat, and the high-lying land after the harvest was all sorghum. When he was not careful, Gao Biao poked into his calf and could not pull it out. The Japanese army was chasing after him. The comrades cut off the sorghum smashed on his lap and dragged the bloody legs. Wang Yichang and other talents smoothly transferred. .
The old man also told Phoenix, Anhui, that he had participated in the Hundred Regiments of the Year, and that battle left a mark on his body. In the second half of 1940, in order to smash the "cage policy" of the Japanese aggressors, the Eighth Route Army had a total of more than 200,000 troops in 105 regiments, and launched a large-scale attack on the traffic lines and enemy pseudo-sites occupied by the Japanese in North China. In an attack on the Japanese stronghold, Wang Yichang’s battalion chose to raid at night. During the battle, a bullet passed through his chin and was stuck in his mouth. Fortunately, there was no serious problem. After a night of exchange of fire, the Japanese finally fled.
After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Wang Yichang also participated in the War of Liberation and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. In the 20th year of the army, in 1958, the old man retired and went to work in Chaohu Prison. The old man said: "Now the age is big, there are more and more unclear, and it is not good. Please forgive me."
