The General Administration of Customs said that the August export growth rate narrowed

Li Keinong, deputy director of the General Administration of Customs, said on the 7th that China's export prospects have improved overall. It is expected that exports will increase in August, and the year-on-year decline will be narrower than that in July.

Li Kenong made the above remarks during the press conference of the State Council. He pointed out that from the data of more recent months, China's exports will certainly get better and better, but when it will resume positive growth, it is not easy to say.

The August import and export data plan is scheduled to be released this week. Data show that in July China's exports fell by 23% year-on-year, and imports fell by 14.9%. The decline was 1.6 percentage points higher than the previous month, and the chain ratio increased by 10.4% and 8.7% respectively.

Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng said at the press conference that the WTO Doha Round negotiations and the free trade zone negotiations are in parallel. The arrangement of regional free trade zones is generally better than the conditions of the WTO. The construction of free trade zones that have been completed or are being negotiated will be helpful to strengthen cooperation among members and jointly respond to the crisis.
