Yesterday, CCTV's "Weekly Quality Report" disclosed that in the 37 batches of foreign well-known brand clothing sampled by Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial Bureau, the unqualified rate reached 59.5%. The city's industrial and commercial bureau said that it will increase the sampling inspection of clothing this year.

It is understood that the Zhejiang Provincial Administration of Industry and Commerce recently conducted a special quality inspection of branded garments sold in several well-known department stores in Hangzhou.

The results showed that among the 37 batches of well-known foreign brands that were sampled, 22 batches were unqualified, and the failure rate reached 59.5%. The subcontracted garments involved 10 foreign brands, including Shark, Dupont, Hugo Bosch, Burberry, Jager Lion, Fijian and other international famous brands. The unqualified products involved trousers and shirts. There are several categories such as jackets, T-shirts, skirts, jeans, etc., mainly from 13 countries and regions such as Italy, France, England, Portugal, Turkey, and Malaysia.

Exquisite workmanship, fashionable style and excellent quality are the ratings of the average consumer for brand names. According to random inspections by the industrial and commercial departments, some of these big-name foreign brands' garments label "100% polyester" as "100% pure cotton," and some have a PH value of 3.55, which is obviously acidic and resistant. The perspiration is relatively poor in color fastness, and when dyed by consumers, the dye molecules will be transferred to the skin, and skin contact sites are prone to erythema, swelling, blisters, papules and other contact dermatitis. The person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Commerce stated that this year the industry and commerce departments have listed clothing sampling as the key content of market quality monitoring, and will treat all brand-name garments equally. If unqualified products are found, they will be ordered to stop sales by operators, and the circumstances are serious. The administrative penalty will be given.
