In the first half of this year, the Suzhou Municipal People's Government invested 42.5 million yuan to collect 58 pieces of old bronze weapons from Taiwan's "Gu Yue Pavilion", including a cold-blooded Wu Wangfu sword. Starting today, the collections were unveiled at the Suzhou Museum's “Wu Hook Heavy Flour – Suzhou Museum Collection Wu Yue Bronze Weapon Special Exhibitionâ€.
Into the main exhibition hall - Wu Yue Zheng Hui exhibition hall, the famous Wu Wangfu sword in the showcase is particularly eye-catching. The handle of Wu Wangfu is 58.3 cm long, 5 cm wide, 5.5 cm wide and 9.4 cm long. There are two lines of inscriptions in the vicinity of the blade: "Attacking the pace (Wu) Wangfu" and "self-defeating (for its own use)", indicating that the owner of this sword is the famous Wu Wangfu in the history of Wu. .
According to Cheng Yi, the Wang Zhenhua couple had their ancestral home in Zhejiang, so they used the Gu Yue Pavilion as their fasting. The ancient Yue Pavilion and Wu Yue have both collected, including many pieces of Wu Guo weapons, especially the Wu Wangfu sword that Wang called "Wu Lao Da" is the most precious. In recent years, the Wang family has come to Suzhou once a year, and they have many contacts with the cultural and cultural circles in Suzhou. "Perhaps Suzhou people are eager to see his hometown cultural relics." Cheng Yi said that after six years of contact with the two sides, in 2012, the Wang couple finally wanted to sell their collections.
From August 17th to 21st, 2013, the Suzhou Museum invited the Li Wenqin team leader, Wu Zhenqi, and Zhu Fengqi, members of the Bronze Group of the Cultural Relics Appraisal Committee of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, to go to Hong Kong to specifically identify the authenticity of these cultural relics. According to the identification of three experts, in addition to Wu Wangguangjian and Yue Wangbo Houjian, there are doubts. The other 58 artifacts are authentic and have high collection and research value. After a long period of negotiation, communication, and negotiation, these precious cultural relics finally entered Su Bo. Among them, 27 cultural relics were collected, and 31 were donated by Wang's couple, totaling 58 pieces. The two parties agreed to transfer the price of 42.5 million yuan.
According to records, during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Wu Guo and Suzhou, the center of Suzhou, and the neighboring countries, the weapon technology was famous all over the world. In the historical literature, the cadres, Moxie, Yuchang and Zhanlu swords became almost household names. Regrettably, for a long time, Wu Guoyou has not unearthed hundreds of pieces of Mingwen weapons, but they have no connection with Suzhou.
Cheng Yi said that the completion of the collection not only made up for the lack of the Suzhou Museum's lack of cultural relics in the King's room, but also fulfilled the wish of several generations of Suzhou cultural bloggers. These Wu Yue weapons have important academic value for studying the history of Wu Yue, the sword-making process, and the inscriptions.
