French women bought a total of 114 million T-shirts last year

One study pointed out that French women bought a total of 114 million T-shirts last year, not only in terms of leisure and comfort, but also in sales of dresses, indicating that French women wear both feminization and leisure.

According to the results of the French Institute of Fashion (IFM) announced on the 1st, the French women's clothing market valued 11 billion euros (about NT$454.5 billion). This figure does not include underwear and stockings. Light underwear and personal belongings accounted for 27% of the French ready-to-wear market.

Although there is a reputation for the fashion kingdom, French women do not love to spend money on treatment. The average annual installation fee is 407 euros, ranking fifth in European countries. The first ranking is a German woman, with an annual average of 602 euros; the rest are Italy, the United Kingdom, and Spain.

The study on women's clothing consumption behavior pointed out that the most powerful consumers are women aged 15 to 24, and the average annual treatment cost is 615 euros.

How do French women buy and wear? The research survey pointed out that last year, French women bought a total of 114 million T-shirts, showing that relaxed leisure style is the first choice for women. However, the value of sales of dresses increased by 27% last year, indicating that in addition to casual style, women also value feminine dress.

The results of the study indicate that brands are not the preferred standard for French women to buy clothes. In terms of clothing consumption, French women will visit patrons of exotic, inexpensive clothing brands such as Zara and H&M; but when shopping for leather goods, they prefer high-end French brands such as Longchamp and Lancel.

The survey pointed out that the dream brands of French handbags are Louis Vuitton and Prada.

The survey also depicted images of French women’s consumption in the future: they did not expect to increase the cost of treatment, but instead expressed that the use of money will give priority to travel, savings and investment.
